Hesitation
Well, i thought that we had figured out what was wrong with my car. bu i was wrong. If you all remember, i had a thread about he car not finding it's idol. well, after cleaning the maf, iac, new plugs, new tps. it got a little better. now there is a hesitation (stumbling) when i am doing an easy acceleration or just maintaining a certain speed. but under a quick accel the car does fine.
also i notice that when the car hesitates, my fuel pressure guage tends to bounce around as well. any thoughts??

my first guess was fuel filter as well.
That or your pump could be going out...unfortunatley. I'd try a fuel filter and see if that helps out

i hope it isn't he fuel pump, as it is a focus fuel in there right now.

gravity is your friend. lol can you datalog fuel pressure with an xcal?? i want to do it to see if my pressure is really that low or if i have a bad sending unit.

quick trip. heading to a dealership just south of trenton to pick up my new work truck and then turning around to head home. 11 hours of driving. ughhhh
but does anyone else have any ideas on what the hell is possessing my F'in car?

like me and Chris said.. if's def fuel related.. I would check out all your fuel components before moving on to air and spark.. I live like 10 miles from trenton. lol

well i am going to datalog the pump.
what else is there to look at. injectors, line, fuel rails (as i have all that crap on there from the nitrous install)

I had a stumble/hesitation at low rpm cruising. With some datalogging and some help from Joe at tricktuners it ended up being a bad oxygen sensor. My short term fuel trim was all messed up from the bad sensor. Replaced the sensor and it cleared everything up.
I'm not sure if it would affect your Fuel pressure like that, but just an idea. Good Luck

I think the first thing I would do is put a mechanical fuel pressure guage on it to verify the reading. I also don't have the faith everyone seems to have in these"simple to install" focus pumps. every week on multiple boards it seems someone's problem is related to these pumps
