Drag wheel tire combo?

I have a small question. I have a set of summit drag wheels that are 15x8, and the biggest DR I can get for it is a 275/50/15. I was wondering if that would stick well enough for me at the track.?

Right now I have MT 15x10.5x26 et streets dot slicks with only 10 runs on them. How far could I drive on these tires?

I want to get some dr's with some matching skinnys that I can drive to the track and race, then drive home on them. The thing is I live 90 miles from the closest track..

I though stepping up to a 15x10" summit wheel, and selling what I have now but the 15x10's won't ship until June the 2nd.

i am talking about et streets, not et drag radials. ET streets are dot approved and you can drive on them, they are fine. just don't drive them in the rain cause then they are going to get you killed

Can you really get 10K out of the tires? I know in the rain they are fun....

I drove about 9 miles on the et streets and wasn't bad. This what I have. The DR's are called et streets too. I have a set 315/35/17's on my dd rims. I thought maybe constant highway speeds would tear them up?

5.5" on a 15x8" wheel, and 6.5" on a 15x10"

Might wanna make sure you inflate em a little or they will build heat quick on the road. Are you running tubes in your ET streets?

So far by best 60 with them is a 1.65 thats after adding sunframes, roll bar and tubular kmember with a-arms. My best with the 17's is a 1.66 with a comletely stock suspension. I want to add skinnys soon. I have also added rear control arms carrier bushings and solid motor mounts recently.

I was going to run about 30 in them and I'm running them tubeless.

i wouldnt run that much pressure in them when doing a lot of highway driving. id say run around 25psi, and when you get to the track drop it down around 13-14 whichever works best.

Are you even able to tell the difference with skinnies? I know that they are lighter and less friction, just curious.

I hear it's like 2 tenths in the 1/4

fats and skinnies work pretty good, just with a cat-back, pro 5.0 shifter, weld draglites with bfg drag radials i ran a 13.3. So they do make a bit of difference when combined with other parts

Did you not worry about breaking the rear end?
