pro 5.0

Recently i purchased a pro 5.0 shifter for my 02 gt. Before installing it my can was running 13.50's, after installing it I cant seem to get the car out of the 13.90's. Third gear is also giving me problems under load. It seems to not want to go into 3rd gear, or when it does it makes a grinding noise. Any help in appreciated.
