Cold Air Kit
Looking to get a cold air kit. I wanna get it to help increase the gas mpg. What would you suggest keeping in mind that it's a daily driver and I'm on a family budget?
Thanks Jon

all cai are gonna do about the same thing, about 1-3 hp and maybe 1 mpg better.but its a good first mod. i have a demolet tunable induction system, really easy install and looks and works great.

All the kits I've looked at say approx. 14 more hp. is that all BS? They seem to be all the same but the cost vary from kit to kit from $80-$300. What's the deal there?

JLT CAI FTW...
GO with a JLT...They are Dyno Proven to provide the most power...And they are pretty easy on the wallet... I used to love Tunable Induction CAI...They are nice but dont leave them in the low position...THey will kill your motor... |

Wife here.....trying to educate myself....
I've noticed no one really talks about BBK Performance Intakes? But I see them all over the place on online retail stores and ebay. Are these knock offs, cheap, or again......just the same? Thanks for lending a hand to the newbies!

The BBK Cold Air Intakes?
They are pretty cheap IMHO...I have not really heard of many people who car for them...They look nice but from what I have seen they dont perform that well... |

Well thank you for the tip about the "perdy" one because that's what I was looking at and why I was looking at it.
Note to self....no perdy stuff! LOL

Wife again.....and I'm freaking "perdy!"
That is good advise though about the intakes because I sometimes tend to buy on looks too.....but brain kicks in and goes for performance.....
