shifting past 6500rpm

what mods need to be done to allow your car to be shifted at higher rpms...i see dynos every now and then where it produces the most rwhp at like 7000rpm

im guessing u need a better engine and trans...

Your right, but... more rpm = the potential to make more power.

Everything in the engine needs to be well-built and well-clearanced for higher RPM limit. Stronger valve springs, stronger spring retainers, a cam that will go above your desired RPM (in case of a missed shift), a good harmonic balancer and balanced crank, fuel system to dump a gallon of gas in a single TDC to TDC rotation...

I could go on all day. The last part isn't necessarily needed, but would be helpful- your engine sucks down a lot more gas with the higher the RPM goes.

Right. A great balance is key too. Having more that 2V/ cylinder helps a lot too. You will also need to be able to flow more air so heads and cams are also needed.
