PLEEEEAAASEE!! Mustang is sick....=(

P0442 Code is being thrown.
i have no idea what it is.
Someone, or anyone please find me alink, or some information to what this code is.
i have an O/R X Pipe coming in this week and i want the car 2 be running as best as it can. Please!

im in class right now and i cleared the code.

A code P0442 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:

A loose or improperly affixed gas cap
A non-conforming gas cap (i.e. not factory/original brand)
A small leak/hole in a fuel vapor hose/tube
Other small leak in EVAP system
Faulty vent o-ring seal

Yea we ran the code before and my mechanic said my gas cap is probably not working well, so does this mean i just buy a new gas cap?
and where can i get one?
This doesn't affect anything does it?

did some search on the internet and this is what came back from multiple sites....A code P0442 will set if there is more than about 2.5 inches H2O change in 15 seconds at approximately 75 percent fuel tank level.

buy a locking one, its like 3 bucks more. With gas how it is, ya never know these days.

dont get a locking one they leak from the key hole and defeat the purpose of replacing a bad cap. get a good regular cap
