MAC Prochamber
For everyone with a Pro Chamber, catted or not,
I have a MAC catback and am really considering getting a prochamber, is the sound pretty deep (not too raspy)? And does it increase the flow of exhaust much more than stock? Are the power gains pretty good? I hope it sounds good with the mac catback. Where could I get a good deal on one? Any general information would be great, thanks guys. |

I have a Flowmaster cat-back and Mac-Prochamber... it's very smooth and deep, but not very loud. Power is great, probably the best out there... but a friends h-pipe setup with Flows is much louder.

Definately without cats so you can get the majority of the sound out of it. One of the factors about the prochamber that people a lot of people like is that it is agreed by a lot that it is the least raspy of all the non-catted pipes. As Joe said, prolly the best for performance but not very loud. I use to have flows, a regular off-road h-pipe, stock manifold and my car was louder then than the exhaust I have now which is l/t's, o/r prochamber, dynomax race bullets (much louder mufflers). It's up to you.

robs sound more than adds it. Makes for good airflow however, I love the sound of a straight through o/r h-pipe. But like I said above, a lot of people WORSHIP the prochamber. To me, it takes a lot of the pitch that makes a car sound a little more throaty away.
