Exhaust leak?

Hey, ive been hearing a slight hissing noise from the passanger side of my engine under hard acceleration. I think it may be an exaust leak. I have flowmaster weld in's and i scraped them on a speed bump about 2 weeks ago. How do i check if its a leak, and if it is what bolts should i tighten? Also, i live in NY and need to pass emissions, would the leak affect emissions? Thanks guys i appreciate the help.

It could be the exhaust, but maybe not. If you have a CAI, mine hisses when I accelerate a little bit. Or maybe its something else.. anyway just something to think about.

It could be the exhaust flange gasket where the h-pipe bolts to the manifold/header. Could be blowed out.

best way to find out, stick your head under the car, and listen while someone else hits the gas. If you want you could get something light and place it close to the area you are looking at and see if whatever it is is blowing around when the exhaust starts hissing.

But if you think the weld in mufflers got drug loose then the only way I know to fix them is get them re-welded?

yeah I agree, but I think the best way is to just listen to it.

I went under the car today, and had my friend give it some gas. The hiss seems to be coming from behind the throttle body and plenum in one of those lines, but before we could figure out where it was exactly, it started raining. Any idea? Worst case, im bringing my car to the dealership for a clutch pack next week, i can ask them to take a look at it.

Probably a vaccum line if it's from the plenum or TB. Be sure all these are plugged in all the way and not leaking any.
