Okay i just purchased a 2001 mustang gt and i have been looking at numerous exhaust and i decided on purchasing the slp loudmouth catback and their catted x pipe all stainless steel. I want my car to sound very mean and to stand out very well amongst others. Is this a good setup? I've listened to videos on youtube but i was wondering if it sounds just as good or better in person if any of you guys have heard it at all before. My next upgrade will be a cai and then a short throw shifter. Any suggestions?

this setup will give you a very raspy sound, if thats what you like this is a good combination. i've heard from quite a few people that the slp loudmouth II sounds much better than the loudmouth I. i'd look into both

well i live in cali so i need to stick with the catted midpipes. As far as longtubes go i want some but i dont want to keep taking them off if i cant pass smog every two years kind of a pain in the

stock parts dont sell for shit, exhaust wise. keep your h pipe for inspections

Yes, the stingers are the best bro IMHO. I the reccomend Mac Lt's, Mac catted X-pipe, and the Stingers. I don't live in Cali but I have been there way to many times to count, and I have buddies that run the same or a similar setup and they have no problems.

Just get high flow cats and be done with it. Screw taking your exhaust on and off, that's to much like work.

yeah borla does sound nice but i like to have longer stainless tips for looks and i want all stainless steel for my system so the mac x is out of the question

You can buy stainless tips at summit pretty cheap. If you don't want Borla than I reccomend Bassani, or Magnaflow Magnapacks

does slp not sound that good?? i wanted mac but the construction of the exhaust isnt as appealing as the others. I also like the magnaflow how do those catbacks sound is borla really the best?

I heard alot negative talk about the quality, and I don't like the sound of the LM1. They're way to raspy in my opinion. LM2 are alot better IMHO. I could've gotten a full LM1 exhaust in the box for free from my cousin and I turned it down. I had flowmasters and I didn't like them either. I like Borla Stinngers and Magnaflow Magnapacks. Those are the other ones that I would buy. Borla being 1st choice. IMHO

I would say Borla has the best quality, hands down. Nobody complains about them.

IMO i think the slps sound good....wat i really like is i can just drive noramlly and shift at like2500 rpm or i can wait till 3k and its gets REALLY loud

Then get something like a flowmaster, LM2, Magnaflow (regular), Borla (regular), Bassani, they're not overly aggressive.
