personally I would stick with a pushrod for your application......but i'm sure there's a write up somewhere on doing the swap.
4v>2v

it will be MUCH cheaper to get a LOT more power out of a 5.0 than it would to do a 4.6 swap.. but if you still want to go for a 4.6, they are found in the 96-present GT's. the 96-98 4.6's are 2V's and they were the worst ones made. in 99-04 models, the GT's got power improved heads, cams, and intakes which bumped the hp to 260. these are also 2V's. in 05 the GT's switched to the 3V engine which puts out 300 hp. the 4V's are found in the cobras from 96 on up, and also in the mach1's. the 4V is the best of the modular engines by far and range from 300hp to 390

Yes, but espcially in a '93 Cobra, or '93 Cobra Clone all black w/ cobra wheels. That is a car that I have been wanting build for a while now. It's been lingering in the back of my mind for years.

That is pretty sick. I just love the '93 Cobras. It all started back in '93, I was 7 and one my dad's employees had a brand new teal '93 Cobra. It was the 1st car that I ever wanted.

4.6' are also found in crown vics and mercury grand marquis'. Those might be a cheap way to find yourself a 4.6 for your 89

4.6 2v:
2 cams, 1 in each head 93+ crown vics, 96+ mustangs, 96+ f150, etc 96-98 mustang npi 93-00 crown vics and f150 npi 4.6 4v 93-98 b head (2 intake ports controled by imrc) 99+ c head some variation between each but pretty close to the same mark series cars, continental, cobra, licoln ls, etc k-member swap, ecu modifications, must run a trans for a 4.6 or a trans that will swap to a housing for a 4.6, headers and midpipe swap, and more, but thats all i can think of off the top of my head.

stick with the push rod beacuse you can get way more power for less money by keeping the push rod in the fox want a good swap try a stroked and poked 351 almost a direct drop in and a lot of torque or you could get outragous like me and drop a stroked 460 not exactly a direct swap but still fun and what is a project with out it's difficulties
