where to look for a already installed chip

ok I know it's under the passenger side kick panel... but what do I look for & where exactly on the computer would it be located....do I have to remove the computer to see it???
I bought this car & it had several mods already done...I'm about to buy an xcal-3 but I want to make sure it's not been chipped before I use the xcal
any info or even pics would be great...

Just take the computer out of the brakets its in and slide it out...Dont forget to disconnect the ground wire...You will be able to tell if you have a chip by looking at the top of the computer...

I ran a chip for a while...

Had to take the computer out 15 or so times...

You can get used to it...

Just another positive for an XCAL...
