I got an extra set of PI heads...Now what?

So I got a pair of 99-04 PI Heads with cam's for 100 bucks off a respectable buyer off ebay. I got them in the hopes of doing some port and polishing etc.

I dont know a whole lot about which parts make power inside of heads, and where to shop for the certain setups. I will be having a shop do the port and
polish but will be putting the heads togather myself before dropping them on my block sometime down the road. (I've done head swaps before, I just never learned the science behind the parts)

Im looking for both alittle learning, and a direction for shopping for head components etc.

Thanks

now would be a good time to upgrade valve springs+retainers/locks and get aftermarket cams
