pics of a little carnage from the track

went to the track friday night and of course i broke something. me and doc just installed the new bushings in the control arms, and of course i bust them.

here the old ones:

after i got a hold of the new ones:

didnt make it into the 11's yet, something always have to happen. my wife was racing friday night too, this cut our night short. best i got was a 12.1 with 1.6 60's all night. there was a small knock at the beginging and i just tried, should of known something was wrong when the car wouldnt track strait at all. it finally went to total crap when my wife was racing.

Why don't you just go with some spherical bearings?

Exactly what I was going to suggest, I run all solid with urethane press in uppers on the rear. Also if you hitting it that hard it is time for welded torque boxes and axle tubes.

if you want to run without those parts breaking your going to need to get spherical bushings, thats what i have all the way around, not a single piece of rubberr in my rear end. then you can say hello to 1.4 60fts

i planned on going spherical after we got done with doc's mach. i need some for the rack and pinion as well. i was on et street bias ply's, i just went to an et drag 26*10*15. i went to a 3.73 as well which is working a hell of a lot better than the 4.10's i had. when i switch cams out and get some better top end power, i may try going back to a steeper gear. i sold my pistons and rings to doc and and will wait a while for my bottom end build.

I have urethane bushings in my front and rear setup. I haven't had any issues yet.

the track hasnt been that well prepped in a while!

hate to hear of your mishap....
