i dont think its possible to know how many miles to expect out of a motor...that like asking how long your going to live...you never know it could blow up tomorrow..but i had a 02 v6 before i did my GT swap and i had 112,000 miles on it and it still ran strong!

30k miles just do the routine check up.
fuel filter replacement, change oil, check differential fluid level, check tranny fluid level, change wiper blades, replace/clean air filter, and check brakes and rotors.

I don't know how much life nitrous will take off an engine, but with good maintenance today's motors last a long time. I have driven several cars past 150,000 miles. Most of the time its everything else that goes before the motor. Alternator, water pump, air conditioner compressor, etc. I gave up on an Oldsmobile that had 198,000 when it blew a head gasket. The motor itself did not use a quart of oil between 5,000 mile oil changes.
My 2000 GT almost has 100,000. It is my intention to run it at least another 3-years before I rebuild the motor with forged internals. By then it should have 160,000 miles. From my perspective a motor's hardly broken in at 30,000 miles.

Nice to know. What's about the average mileage for an 02?

Average mileage is considered to be around 12,000-15,000 per year. So I would guess an average 2002 would have somewhere around 60,000-75,000 miles. But mileage isn't always an indicator of wear and tear on a car. Highway miles are a lot easier on a car than city miles.

I thought mine was low. How is yours so low does it only drive a quarter mile at a time or something?
