What year Cobra are you talking about?
I am guessing the 03/04 cobra... Mach 1 Engine Layout: Front Engine, Rear-wheel drive Engine Type: MOD 4.6L DOHC V-8 Aluminum Block Displacement: 4.6L, 281 cu. in. Horsepower @ rpm: 305 @ 6000 Torque lb-ft. @ rpm: 320 @ 4250 Compression Ratio: 10.1:1 Bore and Stroke: 90.2 mm x 90 mm (3.55 in. x 3.54 in.) 99-01 Cobra Engine Layout: Front Engine, Rear-wheel drive Engine Type: MOD 4.6L DOHC V-8 Aluminum Block Displacement: 4.6L, 281 cu. in. Horsepower @ rpm: 320 hp @ 6,000 rpm Torque lb-ft. @ rpm: 317 lb.-ft. @ 4,750 rpm Compression Ratio: 9.85:1 Bore and Stroke: 90.2 mm x 90 mm (3.55 in. x 3.54 in.) 03/04 Cobra Engine Layout: Front Engine, Rear-wheel drive Engine Type: MOD 4.6L DOHC V-8 Iron Block Displacement: 4.6L, 281 cu. in. Horsepower @ rpm: 390 @ 6000 RPM Torque lb-ft. @ rpm: 390 @ 3500 RPM Compression Ratio: 8.5:1 Bore and Stroke: 90.2 mm x 90 mm (3.55 in. x 3.54 in.) Well I don't have a chart like ChrisJ, but I do know that the Mach's have higher compression ratio's than the cobra's, also I think the 03/04 cobra's have all forged internals, because of the supercharger. But Mach 1's are still the best in my biased opinion!

same design but they do not have the same internals. the machs have forged cranks but the rods and pistons arent forged

the 03/04 cobras have a forged block as the earlier cobra bolocks were alluminium

so for them being the same minus the blower, no they are not the same.

so would SHM have an engine that is the same as the cobra engine? or am i just not seeing it?

The same in which aspect? I don't know if they would carry a completely origional cobra engine, it would be most likely upgraded in some way.

i was talking pretty much the cobra engine minus the supercharger

You can run boost on the aluminum block...They disapate heat laot faster...They both have their good points and bad points...
