I`m about to replace my filler neck gasket in the tank after lunch because its already being a pain.
Anyone got any tricks to getting this sucker out easier. Any help is much appreciated.

I would drop the whole tank. I tried pulling it from the outside and the grommet ripped. Half of it was in the tank for half of a week before I bit the bullet and dropped the whole tank pulled out the pump and fished it out.

drop the tank but be careful of the spring loaded fill stop on the end of the filler neck...use vasaline to help the rubber go in right just dont get sloppy with it...< that sounds dirty....anyway its pretty strait foreward, be careful of all the shit that is caked up around everthing fallin in your eyes...and another set of hands is always useful
