twin turbo or supercharger
hey i have a 2000 mustang gt and i just came into some money...not enough to buy a car which i know some of you will say but enough for some pretty nice mods for my current car. i was looking at buying a kenne bell supercharger but started thinking about twin turbos from helion power systems. i was wondering what i would have to do to my car to be able to handle the twin turbo as opposed to the supercharger.

its depends on how much power you ultimately want, 400whp is about the limit for stock drivetrain. The turbo is great for big power, but youll need a built motor and rear end to keep your car running. A s/c can be bolted on and give you 400 hp with nothin else, if you upgraded your rearend you could push a lil more with the stock block, I think its good to bout 450-500whp.

500 rwhp is REALLY pushin' it for stock internals. I would not venture over 450 rwhp. Either one is capable of tons of power, the TT making more power on less boost though. I am partial to the TT because it has more power potential and will increase your MPG (only if you're not in it though
). A TT will also produce more TQ with the same HP as a blower. IMHO a TT is worth extra cost assuming you have the money.

you would need a built engine capable of more then 450 and then a stronger transmission and some work on your rear end

a engine with forged internals...
you can either spend a couple grand getting your current motor forged or buy an already built engine for like 3-4k

no 100 % sure bout this but
with the hell raiser kit im pretty sure it wont really take any time to spool and i think the kb can make as much power as it but you would need like 3-4 more psi then with a TT if you have the money id suggesut twin turbo...if not then your second choice IMO would be a turbo

but that kit is like 7-8k and install will probably run another 1-2k
and not sure about the tune that much becuase im sure it depends where you go but it would proably be about 500 bucks to get a custom tune and i think youd have to buy your own tuner as well (200-300)
