Lowering Springs
I am going to have a shop lower my car. When looking at everything I just need to get a set of lowering springs right? Just buy the set of 4 springs and they could reuse everything else with no problem?

Depends on how low you go. Anything around 1.5" or lower would require caster / camber plates and aftermarket shocks / struts.

are you sure about that man? lots of people get a drop alittle lower with the H & R springs around 1.7 and they just get the cast chamber 4 bolt plates. dont need new other things.

They dont have to use them...But it is highly reccomended...Lowering a car with stock shocks/struts and with C&C plates is doing things half-@ss...
Eibach Pro kit and Steeda Comp springs are about the same...1.5-1.7 inches... Eibach Sportlines lower the car around 2 inches all the way around... If you lower the car with the stock springs and shocks they will wear faster...If you dont use C&C plates it is going to be tough to get your front end alighned perfect... |

I dropped mine 1.5 with Eibach Springs and still bought the camber plates to be on the safe side. Might as well do it right the first time.

Ok so its a yes and no... Yes you CAN do it with just springs, but for the sake of my car lasting and performing, I should go ahead and do it right the first time...Thanks for the input guys....

ehhh i just cut my stock springs and had it aligned with camber bolts, didnt need CC Plates but i could use em...my car dropped a little lower than 2" i think, cause one of my friends stang has sportlines and mine was lower...and the ride is not bad,it only feels stiffer on pot-holes but other than that its smooth!
