Wheel Spacers

Are there any drawbacks to them? I know that its not good to launch with DR's when you have em on, but other than that...?

I'm missing something. I've been running 315's for years with no wheel spacers. I am missing something here.

Its more that i want my rear rims to stick out more, cuz my fronts are sticking out a little too far right now.

My exhaust wont allow 315's... I can adjust it so that it will fit, but them my tips will be cockeyed... itd, shitty pypes engineering i guess.

I have 295's on right now, and they slightly rub my exhaust, not enough to cause any damage to the pipe or my tire tho.

should be perfectly safe to run the wide spacers, your better off with the one inch or more anyways cuz they have studs built in them to replace the originals when you bolt them up, that way you dont have to worry about studs being to short or anything

most def man.

Here's a pic of them now

The lip is 1.5'' in the front and 3'' in the rear. Its kinda hard to tell that the fronts stick out farther (only about .5'') but you can tell from the front.

I'm going the other way. I had to add spacers on the front to clear the brembos but am now looking to buy new wheels so i don't have to use the spacers. I have 295's on the back with no spacers and no clearance issues.

Lets fire up this post again. I just swapped my old rims for some 19's. The rear tires need to be replaced and I'm thinking 275/40/19. Anyway the reason I'm writing is if you think my tires will rub if I got wheel spacers? I got a 1.5 inch drop. Thanks!

Since this post is already fired up:

If you're running high hp levels, the wheel spacers could become a problem. Besides that, the only disadvatange is the additional rotating weight.

In the fronts, spacers mess with the offset of your wheels, which can increase your scrub radius, and do bad things to your handling. You can use them to make up for wheels with innappropriate offsets for your car, but you really need to know what the right offset is, how much the wheels are off, and use the appropriate spacers to correct the offset. I highly suggest against them for the fronts unless you know what you're doing.

If you're just talking about putting them in the back, then I don't know of any issues besides those already posted.

Cool. Well I gotta put 1inch in the fronts because of the offset. When I turn my wheel in too far it rubs against the inside, which sucks balls.
