Differece Between H and I beams

Ok... what are the pros and cons? I know that one is shaped like an I and the other like an H... but what are the pros and cons. I'm gonna guess that the H's are stronger...?

A forged I beam is not much stronger than what is stock in our cars. A forged H beam can hold decent amounts of power. And a Billet I beam is the top of the line. It can hold what ever you throw at it. They are also around 1200 for a good set where the forged H beams are only around 600.

a forged H is stronger than a forged I beam, but a Billet I beam is the strongest of it all.

A forged h beam can handle more than 600 hp. A forged I beam could handle that.

You sir are smart, most people just think a rod can handle "X" amount of power. Every company rates them for power and rpm range, you must check into these things before making a less than adequate decision.

Also factor weight as a option, added rotating mass of the h-beam may cost a bit of power.

^ What he said. The H-beams will add strength, but will cost you a little on power over the I-beams.
