Bad Noise after cam install, can you say bent Valves

Yeap, you guys got it. We did the compression test and the intake valves on that side are leaking. We are getting new ones on monday. I have a question. Can I reuse the head gasket or is it already wasted?

Never reuse a head gasket, it has already been compressed. No shortcuts at all, I never reuse any gaskets, NEVER.

I know, we checked but there was only one valve that was bent. The others hit the piston too but werent bent. Either way we are changing the 4 intake valves. The mark is less than a 1/4 of an inch.

You couldn't have said it better, the force of ptv is just as bad as detonation. I wonder how those rod bearings look, time bomb ?

FYI, the engine is not screwed, only one side of had ptvc problems. We took the head off, were changing the 4 intake valves on that head since they were the only ones that hit, even though only one was bent. It was not bent badly. It was not even noticeable until we got it off the head. We took the pistons out yesterdady and they all look great. There was no damage to either one of them.
