Couple questions
Couple questions, you all know how you hold your tripometer button and start the car and you can go through all the settings and what not. Well I get about 220 miles to a tank of fuel all town driving and I have full bolt ons, My friend has an 02 GT, bone stock, and is getting about 165, horrible mileage and thats all town driving too. Now when we cycle through the settings, you get to fuel, and some numbers beside it, I take it its fuel pressure, mine is 166, now his is only 85. This is a huge difference, could this have something to do with his shitty gas mileage? Clogged fuel filter? his car runs fine but has very bad mileage thats all. Also one more question. I did an oil change a while ago and I put 6 quarts of royal purple in. Now I'm still only about a little more then half way up the dipstick? So I may add some more, my friends 02 GT on the other hand, he only put in a 4.4L jug of oil and his is completely full, did they change the size of the oil pans during the years. Just doesn't make sense to me. Thanks, sorry for rambling so much.

Replace the fuel filter. Not sure what to tell you about the oil, but all of the 4.6s have held 6 quarts as far as I know.

fuel filter and pump, injictors. and i think in 96 they went for 5 to 6Qts for the oil pans. and check your dipstick were it presses into the block, i know its a long shot, but its worth a shot

when your checking it make sure its been ran until normal operating temperature then let it sit on a perfectly flat surface give it atleast two minutes for the oil to drop down. these cars take time for the oil to drip back down. that can make a big difference I had an issue with mine reading halfway up the stick and it turned out i was checking the oil too early after shutting it off. thats just an idea im throwing out there from my experience. hopfully thats the issue and not a leak or burning oil
