Axels and rear end.
Looking at 31 spline Strange Axels and Detroit True Trac.
Does anyone know any reason that I should avoid either of them? Also, besides wheel studs, are there any other parts I need to do the swap?

They'll be fine. I agree if there's alot of miles on the car, go ahead and repl all the bearings. I 'm using a 33spline Auburn Pro Diff and Moser axles. If ya want to go that route, I've got a new set of 33spline axles w/ the clip eliminators already installed. I'll make ya a deal on them

Would the C-clip eliminators work with disc brakes? How long would an auburn diff last with hard launches? I've heard some horror stories.

yep, 99+ and 3"studs. The Pro-series diff according to the guy at Auburn is good for 1000hp in the 33spline version.

I run Moser 31's and an Explorer trac loc. I wouldn't worry about C-clip elims unless your drag racing and it's required. I wouldn't worry with the bearings etc. on your late model. Make sure you get the axles machined for ABS rings if your gonna keep them.

the bearings are cheap replace them, better than having to tear it back apart in 2 years to do it again.
