general question

okay, when i seem to get on my car, it smells like eggs, so does that mean i need to get fuel injection cleaned or what, haven't looked at spark plugs yet, or anything, seems to backfire more often now too, i have put my second set of pulleys on, and have it dead center, but i am clueless on this one, no idea, i think the timing may be off, and the injectors are dirty, no idea yet?? help me out on this, so lost!! 04 GT with 20k miles on it

yeah i wish was an exhaust leak, had faulty spark plugs, and was running rich, so had to re-tune it, the plugs were all nice and crispy looking!! The eggs are from my cats, i put the x pipe on with cats, brand new mind you, and the cats burnt up from the engine running rich, expensive week, luckily i did it myself and did some research!!

when catalytic converters go bad, they smell like rotten eggs. replace your cats or get an o/r mid pipe.
