at over 100MPH you should be doing 13's with ease, even at that elevation. You just gotta learn to drive it dude... Find a place where you can work on your launches. I had a similar 60' time with street tires and was very dissapointed. Granted that was only one pass, but the point is that its a bad time to get. You have drag radials.... Radials and 2 second 60' times just dont match up. with good tires on there you can dump that things from 5,000 and do better. Get better tires, learn to launch, and practice shifting. A trap speed is the biggest indicator of what kind of times your capable of and a 60' is usually the biggest hold-up to achieving those times.

White99, good info to use. Thanks. I agree with all you guys here, 2.3 is way too slow- I'm gonna do like I've been trying to do all along and work on that damn driver mod. My goal is only 13s and when I first went up there, I wasn't expecting much but 14.4 is just too high a number for what I feel the car has. I'm goin back up probably this weekend or next, so we'll see how these hints help out. Again, you guys are the best forum members out there- thanks for your help!

Drop the 60' time. You need to come out of the hole a lot harder.

your 60' time is the biggest issue...if you can cut a 1.8-2.0 there is your .2-.4 tenths that will break 13's... work on your shifts more...hey man, dont forget,it was your first time on the track, you will only get better bro. glad we can help

maybe you need to heat up the tires a bit more in the box... im still struggling with the fact that you have drag radials and managed a 2.3 60'. if you drop .5 off of the 60' time you'll drop a second or more on your 1/4 time. Just keep practicing. find a nice straight away in front of a stop sign in your area and launch it from there. Theres the nice strip of road near my house that leads out of my neighborhood. I call it "The Launch Pad", and thats just what i do there; LAUNCH! Try something similar. I lauch from that stop sign 5 times a day and now im a master pulling out of the box... Besides, they aren't really stop signs and redlights, THEY ARE POLE POSITIONS!!!

It's pretty much your launch. Try some stickier tires, and a lower track would help lol.

the track and street are 2 different animals. Whoever tells you to practice on the street obviously doesn't know what they are talking about. Whatever works on the street might not work at the track. You just need to spend alot of time at the track and not worry about what you are running at first. I was at the track every single friday practicing cause learning how to feather the clutch without killing your clutch is a bitch

clean them and thats it, never do a burn out in street tires lol. Also people need to learn that you just don't floor the car as soon as you see green. And thats why people run 2.2 60fts.

yes ease on the gas, you can spin the tires over a couple of times enough to throw the rocks off of them, and make sure you go around the water box. If the car is spinning when you come off the line then what does that tell you, to not give it so much gas until you get out of the hole.
