14.4 @100.7
That's my time. I've done a lot of talking and want a second opinion. Apparently, my short time sucks- I'm still cutting a best of 2.3 60'. Is this typical, or should I expect better? I've been launching at about 2000 rpm for the driveline's sake (I can't really afford a set of new axles at the moment- that's for after the gears). If this isn't what it should be, then what in the hell is wrong? It can't be the power- the car barked 4th at the end of the track with drag radials during an early run. Go ahead, be assholes and whatnot, I just want to know if I'm doing this right or am I screwing something up in the quarter. I've seen plenty of mid-13 passes at the mph I'm running, and I don't like the idea of getting more of these 14-second slips when I should be where everyone else is. Thanks guys.

if your running mid 14's with bolt-ons, gears & drag radials... its more than your short time
obviously you want to get your 60' down, might want to look into weight reduction and learn how to power shift also, what is the elevation at the track your running at?

2695 ft. elevation at Firebird Raceway, Boise, ID.
What should I try to get my 60' down to? |

try taking out your front sway bar. I personally launch at 5,000. i just ride the clutch a little bit then mat it and never let out til i go through the traps

even with stock suspension you should be cutting 1.8's easy. I was cutting 1.7's with street tires, now that was a 1.79 but still a 1.7 lol. You should be coming off the line at 4500 and feathering the clutch to keep the tires from spinning. Your not going to break anything in the rear launching on drag radials. Also next time remove your front sway bar, air the front tires up to 45psi, rear down to 16psi, take out the rear seat, remove your wipers, try to get as much aero dynamics as you can and be as light as you can. yes your elevation is having something to do with it but not that much. At that elevation you should be running about 13.7's. Cause at sea level i was running 13.2's with drag radials and just a shifter, cat-back, off road h-pipe

yes elevation can make that much of a difference. 5k feet elevation makes you over a second slower
