Transmission leak

Ok well i have a 4r70w and its been leaking for some time now, i thought it was the trans pan gasket so i just recently replaced the gasket as well as the filter.... it needed it.. so tonight i noticed that there was a couple of spots of trans fluid on the ground....

Ok question is does the auto dipstick tube have an O ring or does it just press into the trans housing???.....cause it looks a lil wet from around that area.... Any info would be great!!! Thanks

pretty sure its just pressed in to the housing, not sure though. A trans leak could be numerous things causing the problem. It could be early signs of the torque convertor going...input shaft seal...pump starting to go....or something else. Jack up the front of the car, start it up, then try and get under there and see exactly where it is leaking from. I just blew out the input shaft seal on mine, its definatly not pretty and will put you dead on the side of the road.
