Differential

i have a 99 gt and i or someone blew the rear differential, so i took it to the dealership and they want to do the overhaul for $1300 i said something to him about a LSD and he didn't recommend.... the guy i got this car from said he had replaced the rear before, i want to know how i should go about this. |

dont go back ciz thats fucking rediculous. the actuall diff is only like 250bux and shouldnt cost more than 300-400 to install, youll prolly need new gears to

Stealerships make the majority of their money on service, not the sale of cars. Unless it is warranty work, take it to a trusted mechanic. I do all the work on my baby but then I voided the warranty long ago.

for that price you can get gears, diff and 31 spline axles installed at a trusted shop of your personal preferance

i only paid around 400 for a full rebuild, install 31 spline axles, t-lok, gears, abs rings and all
