i don't see you breaking anything on drag radials. i was launching on the limiter with a blower, on drag radials on a 15 inch rim and nothing ever broke. But you should be in the low 1.7 range at least

With the stock 3.27s let 3rd gear wind out or shift to 4th? It seems like I am right at 5XXX RPMs right at the end of the track.

if you are shifting into 4th with stock gears than you are either making a ton of power or something is wrong.

Yeah, everytime I went to the track I left it in 3rd. But someone told me try shifting to 4th, I have never done it, I was just making sure since you have much more knowledge with these cars then I do.

Don't forget to throw in the smaller rotating diameter of the wheel if you're running anything other than street... I had my D/Rs on and ran out of 3rd and bounced off the limiter. My 13.9 could have been a 13.7.

I just took my car down the 1/8th mile track for the first time and wow what a rush! I wish I would have read this post before I went cause my tires were spinning and the times were sucking! My trans is making a sweet noise now so as soon as I get it fixed ill be sure to apply these tips for hopefully some better times, good post!
