need sct help


ok so i bought this sct xcal2 of someone and i downloaded the liveload and what not. haven't been able to put it on my car cause its still getting some body work done. Well anyway i couldnt wait to plug it into my car so i pluged it into my computer to see the menu. The liveload poped up and i was looking at it and it said xcal2, v1.14 state Prog:stock. Read Successful...



so did i just get jacked or something?

depending on model of the xcal it may only be loaded with a custom tune for previous car. You might have to cough up a few $ to get your own tune. It says its stock, so you should be good to go with it. Also while its plugged into the computer you should be able to scroll through the screens to see what if any tunes are installed into the device. You can do an email tune from a few companies for around $40 or so.

Did you make sure that the tuner was unmarried from the previous owners car?

if its says stock on liveload, it should be unmarried.

As for getting a tune you can contact joe at trick tuners for a custom tune. If you have serious mods, you will either need to go to a dyno or get a wideband setup and datalog for email tuning.
