Friction Modifier?
there is a humming noise coming from the rear of my 02 gt, is this bearings or a lubricant problem? if it is bearings how much does this usually cost?

This is hard to diagnois with limited info. How many miles on the car? Is it the stock gears or have you had aftermarket gears installed? Have you checked to ensure the differential is full of oil? You wouldnt just add friction modifier, it would generally be added with new gear oil. Give us some additional info so we can try and help you out.

friction modifier
okay, here it is 50,500 miles with no gear change. it doesn't seem to change noise when in turns as this would be bearings i think. it really only makes noise at speed like 25 or 35 mph. any ideas? should i change the gear oil in the rear?[/code]
