these mods VS those mods, suggestions please

hey guys im keeping my car and spending some money on it and i have some options

a friend of my has some big and skinny welds[not sure the name but they are the same ones ACmiller has] with MT ET street, cheater slicks with no tubes in them, and one of the slicks leak[he said it might b a seal]. it will hold air for about a 5-6 days then u have to refill, life is about 40% rear and front skinnys are brand new mickeys...he will give me riums and tires for 500.

or buying a spec1 clutch, JLT intake and 70mm throttle body

or buying a spec1 clutch and MGW shifter, a few appearance things i need

mods i have now are O/R H-pipe, dumped exhaust, and 100shot nitrous, my nitto DR's have barely any life in them but i have street tires on the car now and the dr's sitting in the garage waiting for there last couple weekends. my clutch is really stiff guessing it is the clutch cable but it has not slipped yet although after a WOT run it loses some pressure and has some play to it.

how about a tuner for that hundred shot and o/r H.

with slicks your going to break your stock rear end.
cant go wrong with the clutch (fried mine) but remember its very hard to install or expensive if you take it to a shop.
cant go wrong with a shifter.

go with the slicks and skinnies. They will net you the best times IMO. mine dropped my ET 4 tenths

Oh BTW i got to try a MGW and I hated it. Its worse than the Steeda Tri-ax IMO. Pro 5.0 FTW

I hated my Pro 5.0 it would hang up on EVERYTHING and lock itself in place. I got the MGW and bam!!!! it was magic in the palm of my hand.

Pro 5.0 is all i've used and I like it. It would hang up until I got used to it though.

You could see if you could get it remounted, but it could be from a bent rim...

i agree. i drove my friends mgw and the throws were so short i couldnt tell if i was throwing it into neutral or not when shifting 1-2, 2-3, and 3-4. even going neutral to first i couldnt tell. my pro 5.0 is perfect you still have to throw it into gear but it only seems like its half the throw of the original and i rarely get hung up only when going into reverse. mgw im sure is a great product just not for me.

I would say a shifter i a must, and with that 100shot you will more then likley fry that stock clutch you got fairly soon so put some cash aside for that. i just fryed my clutch and got a center force dual friction that is awsome but cost me 1000 for the clutch and install still breaking it in.
