Brake Question

Alright so as I'm waiting for all my brake parts to come in the mail (I'm upgrading to the front cobra brakes and putting on stainless steel lines) I was reading about bleeding the brakes and all since this was my first brake job I ever did and I read that the Master Cylinder is never supposed to go dry because the piston can go through or you can get air in the ABS. So I was wondering if it isn't supposed to go dry then how do you go about changing the brake lines and swapping out the calipers without letting the Master Cylinder go dry?

There is a good bit of fluid in the system...when you go to pull your lines just make sure you dont let them drain out too much...in otherwords keep the lines pointed up when you remove them, zip ties are your friend. Once you get the new parts on bleed the system and keep an eye on how much fluid is in the resevoir.

I have a Baer Big brake kit, the lines will only leak the fluid in them, there is no force to push the brake fluid in the reservior out. Remember to also bleed the master cylinder. I think its the first bolt below the reservor.
