Wheels Question

I'm going to get straight to the point, what is the deepest dish wheel I can get for my 2001 mustang gt convertible? A website or some pics of rims would be a great help, thanks alot.

That's a lot of rim. I'm interested in seeing some pics on a car too.

An '01 GT can only take 8" wide rims in the rear? I doubt that very much.... I have a '99 GT with 10.5" inch wide rear rims.

ummmm

I once had 11" wide tires on the back of my 2001 GT coupe before the accident. After the accident I found out that accelerating was really wearing on the clutch and the rear end gears because of the weight...and probably the effectively smaller wheel base back there. I put 9" rims back on the car quickly after the car was repaired..im no expert but I'd recommend prepping the car for wheels that heavy..maybe with racing gears, bigger brake calipers or cross-drilled rotors and I'd use drag radials if I were you...too much tread'll probably add to the problems I told you I had. go with a 10.5...widest you can go is 11 but i've only seen 11 on cobras and stuff with lots and lots of power and torque(not that it should make a diff. but i dont know how it'd perform on a gt)

Hmm... where's a good web site to get 11's? I have 10.5's but would really consider getting 11's if I can find some that size in the same style I have. I have the chrome paddle wheel style rims. I have a TON of torque, so wider tires would be great, even if by half an inch.

Yup... and I love that nice flat line too. I attribute it to the Reichard Racing intake I have... I've heard they are good for the torque.

Trust me, if I had a s/c it would be a hella lot more hp than that!
