hotter and ALOT louder ok?

i know my shifter is suppose to be a little noiser now but its really bad....and sometimes i here it starting to rattle...

not to mention i can feel heat coming from it and like burning my rigth leg which never happened when i was stock

these problems ok?

i called steeda and they said to cover the metal on the shifter with aluminum foil...and that noise doesnt matter

Sounds like the car has gears in it, if the speedo is off, and heat from the shifter is normal...

yep just put the gears in

so burning my leg doesnt mean my car is gonna break or anything and no matter how loud the shifter is its still fine cuz its shifting great rite?

Well burining your leg isnt something thats going ot happen. You still need to put the heat sheild back on....

And noise will start going away after 300 miles prolly.

I didnt get any heat from my tri-ax nor a raddle. Did you make a bead rtv seal between the shifter and the tranny of the car??

i read about that and whitestang mentioned it but then i figured that was wat i spent 10 bucks on when i ordered the gasket thing to go along with it...i have the gaskey shitting above the tranmssion, then the shifter base...then i have that rubber boot followed by the metal rectangle

if you cleaned the old liquid gasket off really well and applied a new layer between the shifter and gear box you shouldn't have any noise coming from there. I recommend using "The Right Stuff" liquid gasket. Its good shit! Also, im not entirely familiar w/ the Steeda shifter, but you should use loctite(red) on all the bolts that hold the the shifter in place, assuming the tri-ax is an adjustable shifter... W/o loctite it liable to come loose on you which may be a souce of some rattling/noise.

ive seen the shifter gasket kits online and i dunno how much faith id put in one of those, but then again ive never seen or used one. But i do know that u cant go wrong using "The Right Stuff" liquid gasket.

no problemo. you should be able to find the right stuff at any auto parts store. Its kind expensive(30-35$), but it usually comes in a kit w/ 2 tubes and a gun.
