there is an accessory wire (usually 2) off the wire harness from the key switch. it is an actual accessory wire, that is where you need to tap off for switched 12+ power scource. i used a high to low input converter and tapped off my rear speakers. if you are in good with an aftermarket accessory shop, they can get a wire color code guide off directtech.com
