The DRs will have a lot more grip and i dont think you need to heat them for drivin around town they are a semi-race compound.

the d/rs will not last as long as the kdw2's because it is a softer compound.

what are you mods?

i doubt you need d/rs

what is your driving style? a lot of burnouts and what not? if so, street tire

on the other hand... i've had my DR's for about 2K miles with about 6 burnouts from going to the track once and one or two on the street and they still look brand new... so if you arent constantly dumping the clutch, i would say go for the DR

I went with KDs after the BFG DRs and was disappointed with their lack of hooking power. I sold my wheels with the nearly new KDs on and have some new nitto DRs to test out. I just got them on the car yesterday and have not tested them.

The Nitto DRs will be best in the rain cuz they have a real tread pattern. The others are really just so the tire can be DOT legal, its not intended for everyday driving.

The BFG street tires will have about 4 times as much tread and I was impressed with how well they hook on the street ( for street tires) The drag radial will no doubt out perform it, just be ready to replace them alot sooner

+1 ive had my nittos for a little longer than you and they still look new. Now Im not crazy hard on them but I dont baby them either. I just had to order them again in 315/35's because the BFG's were on back order, but there is enough tread they are going to the front for now. Been very pleased with them though.
