terrible two days.
so I've had the pypes o/r x pipe and flowmaster for awhile now. I got some shorty headers to put on and me and a friend worked for about 4 hours and never got them installed. we mainly just took off the x pipe and flowmaster and then sat around and stared at the headers haha. Anyway, so we put the exhaust back on because it was midnight and me and my friend both had to be back at work at 545 that morning. it does fine all that day and we get off of work and I follow him to his house to fix his radiator (funny story, did you know a razor blade can cut through a radiator?). So I'm pulling out of his driveway into a fairly busy road when suddenly my car sounds more like a straight pipe and then the eerie sound of metal on pavement. so I can't move forward cause I'm afraid my flowmasters are gonna be ripped off and cars are coming at me blowing their horn and I'm laying on the pavement cussing at this piece of shit that fell apart. my friend gets a shirt wrapped around his hand and holds the exhaust up as we slowly ease it back into the driveway, jack it up, and retighten everything again x2. All the bolts were still tight, it just sorta slid out. So we covered the seams real heavily with an exhaust cement. went to work again, no problems, went to a family reunion at my uncle's house. I got my ass handed to me by my cousins '70 nova 396, and his wife's '04 cobra, then he noticed my exhaust was sagging really low. So now my exhaust is still connected, cemented, but now it's sagging about an inch from the pavement. I'm having a bad two days, and I can't figure out why my exhaust is being such a dick right now.

when you go to bolt up the mid pipe try this: if it's on jack stands, use a floor jack to jack the pipe up while you tighten the bolts. if you have access to a lift and shop tools, use a tranny jack to hold it up while you tighten...

that's what I've realized I'm gonna have to do, it's just so frustrating because of my work schedule and family coming in from out of state I haven't had the chance to do it. it feels like my car is half ass and about 2 seconds from breaking, it kills me.
