you could save up a little and get gears or nitrous.

Gears, no hp gains, but it will feel faster.

Handheld or PC-based (like Sniper Special Forces) tuner, and learning how to use it...
Tuner = $350 to $400, learning to use it - $0 and some reading... A premium fuel tune will perk things up right off the bat, and you'll be able to correct the speedometer when you do those gears.

I say save it... It's much more pleasing to do a handfull of mods at a time than bolt-on after bolt-on in a long progression. It's better to save the money, get the mods, and have it tuned..
Or i'd day save another $250 and buy a tweecer RT, do a lot of reading and research, and tune the car yourself... I've got Tweecer myself and i love it to death.. Best damn thing i've bought for my car

i was curious about this, a friend of mine has an 02 ss and a 98 transam... he was tellin me that for their f-body cars there are "free mods" like cutting excess plastic out of their intake lid and takin somthin out(i forget what it was). but he gains like 10 horse outa all that shit. is there any shit like that we can do? i know with my foxbody, when i was poor, i started with taking out the air scilencer and shit
