gears installed out the door


im gonna have shop install gears and new seals and bearings and its going to be 500 out the door does that sound about right?

i had mine installed with bearings seals for 250 at a flying high 4x4 shop

I agree. It's pretty standard. $200 parts, around $300 for labor is pretty on par.

id rather do the gears myself than have some shop do it. last time i got work done on my transmission the inside of my car smelt like mexican and grease for about a week. fucking pissed me off

a gear install is not for the every day joe ,,take it to a good shop and have them do it its worth the piece of mind ,,or you could be spending alot more cash down the road to fix your fu*k ups ...

yeah but id rather fix my mistake and learn from it (hopefully without damaging anything) before id take it back to the place that fucked it up in the first place for them to fix it the right way

im a heavy equipment mechanic i have built and set up axles in john deere bachoes i dont know how many times, i probably could do it but finding the time and liability of doing it myself is why i rather have a shop do it
