have you seen the beginning part of the x pipe? how it has a seperate peace maybe 3 feet long or so? its bascially a simple pipe, that connects to the header, and on the other end just an open pipe, that clamps to the x pipe. so if i needed cats on there how would i get them on?

if you're planning on passing emissions you'll need those cats and theyll have to be welded on... as far as i know, bassani does not make long tube headers they make "equal length headers" that fit only their midpipe if im not mistaken.. you might want to check into them to see if they will be emissions legal or not.. i know shorty headers are emissions legal but long tube are not and the bassani are in between.

some places do not have emissions laws while some places do.. I don't.. that's what I'm planning on eventually swapping out my prochamber for a shorty prochamber and putting some nice long tubes in there .. but yeah, some ppl that have to deal with emissions do just as you did, hold on to the stock h and switch when you have to get tested

i believe he said hes going bassani, they don't make long tubes, they make "equal length" (i think they're called) headers

Perhaps your best bet is to just swap out the mid-pipe for inspections like you did before. I have heard that they look for 4 cats in California during the inspection.

yea they do a visual check. but the guy who did it was sum 40 year old mexican who kept eyeing my shit like he wanted to steal it or sumthin..very skeptical. but i just dont want to keep switching it off. but i dont have to smog until oct of 09 so fuck it! and the headers are called mid length i guess... Modular Mustang Racing, then exhaust, and then first one on the list. they said thats what i should get. but for 700 i dunno, what do u guys think?
