Drivability tune

At partial throttle what is the timing supposed to be at? Trying to get the drivability under control. WOT is supposed to be at mid-high teens with 15 psi boost.

I have a datalog for anybody that is interested. My wideband is currently being sent back for repairs... so only got the narrowband o2's. But its only partial throttle anyways, WOT is dyno tuned.

might be a touch high, but thats normal for part throttle timing. if you go wot from 2000 or so the timing should drop way back to more like 9 or 10(just throwing a number out here) and then climb to peak timing from there

cool thanks... i thought that seemed high. Im getting an ignition code too, and i just replaced the cops (mechanic lent me a set of 8) to see if that would get rid of the problem. So was thinking maybe it was misfiring cause of huge amounts of timing at partial throttle.

While WOT in 3rd, shifting to 4th it practically falls on its face. It stumbles huge. What do you think would cause that? Have a datalog of it. Also still seems low on power, and minor stumbling.

What would cause the shifting issue? Anythoughts? Mechanics take awhile to get time to look at it.. and joe has been busy and hasnt responded.

the timing at part throttle shouldnt cause any misfire issues, unless it set way to aggressive, even then it should ping instead of anything else. do you know what total timing is???

Partial throttle is low 30s, when WOT it goes to 11-13 with 15 lbs. Not sure what total timing is. Also had missfire parameter turned on the last datalog, and wasnt set off once.

The radiator temp was at 185 for 45 min drive, didnt go above it. IAT was at about 140-156. And underhood temps seem super hot. Dont know if that would have any effect on drivability. Cause it does to it when it is first driven still...

those temps are about right if its hot and just running around. i would make sure the plugs, fuel filter, and the fuel are all good. check the afr's, and go from there. if its running a little lean or if you have too much timing, this issue can occur.

fuel filters pretty new. Plugs are ngk tr55's... i heard those arent so good of plugs. Should i switch to autolites 103's? I have boost a spark, so im not sure if that would be whats the matter...

Might have to get re dyno tuned.. for driveability. He just did WOT in 4th, and idle. Didnt mess with drivability at all.

to make matters worse my a/f gauge took a dump on me and has to be sent back...

datalog the fuel pressure drop across the injectors at the shift and see where you are

the ngk's should work just fine for your app. i would just take it to the dyno and have it tuned, or have someone else tune it.

I dataloged that actually, fuel pressure drop across injectors at rail. And it looks like theres some funky stuff going on. Same with fuel source.

At wot its around 50-55 (seems right) but towards the end went to 90 for a second. Some of the problem spots of sputtering was at 20's or 50s (spikes). At one point, i saw the pressure at 2 for about 4 seconds... and that is bad! Looks likes that happened in a few spots. That could be after i let off but still...

Think ill need some dyno time... Mechanic that i had messing with the drivability doesnt have a dyno, so he cant mess with the WOT stuff. Unless the frp is connected some how.

Had a dyno tune for WOT and idle, but we didnt mess with the drivability. Should have!!! Kinda annoyed, i didnt know better but he should have.

No idea on the sensor if its good or not... no codes for it. Connection is good. I should email you the datalog so you could see some of the issues. I got the times where is was extremely fubared. It has more than just those spots though...
