how much boost with no IC

how much boost can you run safely with a non-intercooled kennebell? and could you order the intercooler later from KB with everything? and how many pounds of boost is an IC 2.1 KB good for too. ive been pondering these questions for a couple days now and would really like to know cause im thinking about doing this. Thanks

6psi is recommended, 9psi would start pushing it if you are on stock bottom end. the heat a positive displacment puts out is the big factor. a centri can push it, the heat generated by them is less.

I dont think you should do 9 with a kb without an intercooler. If you dont have an aftermarket radiator you are going to get some serious heat soak in minutes.
