friday we took dads 04 gt our friends 83 gt and or other friends 69 charger to lebonon vally for a track rental and had a great time but our friend with the 83 gt snaped an axle on his 4th or 5th pass and ended his day and both dad and marty our friend with the 69 charger were disapointed with there times

dads car pulled the front wheels then boged and got a best time of 12.8 and marty did the same w/o bogging

pics will be up soon but one question im tellin dad to put in 3:73 gears so he doesnt lose to much top end but hes insistent on 4:10 because thats what marty has and marty was killing him off the line but he cought him at the end of the 1/4 mile

what gears do you think he should do?

don't fear the gear....

if he is snatching the tires with stock gearing... I'm assuming he's spraying out the gate? either way 4.10's would be a great improvement, not to mention he wont run out of gear running in the 12's

dad has a kenne bell 1.7l supercharger with 11lbs of boost, cold air, TKO 600, magnaflow exhaust, and bigger throttle body/mass air with stock 3:27 gears

so let me get this straight....

he launches and pulls the wheels, and only runs a 12.8 w/ a Kenne Bell @ 11psi all while rowing gears throgh a TKO????

something there is terribly wrong with this picture

I'm just saying there are cars on here running 12.8 - 12.9 on motor through a stock trans on drag radials.... even if it bogs, he should be able to knock down a low low 12 at least.

What was his trap speed? and what numbers did it put down?

his fastest was 12.8 at 108mph

but last year when his car wasnt bogging because he couldnt grip he pulled a 12.5 at 106mph
