pass side valve cover removal
I was wondering if theres any little tricks or ways to make it easier getting the pass. side valve cover off or is it just more so a matter of playing around with it till you can get it off. The rear of the driver side one was kind of a pain. Also when taking off the timing cover did you guys drain the oil due to the 4 oil pan bolts?

To take off the passenger side valve cover you need to fully unbolt it then disconnect the fuel line that runs across the back, then unplug all of the coil and fuel injector plugs the pull up on it and move it around a bit and it sould come right out.

Yes drain your oil. But thats not b/c of the oil pan bolt it just help in case you happen to drop somethin in there.
Are you doing timing chains?

Doin crower stage II cams. Thanks for the info the valve cover was kind of a pain due to the transmission dip stick tube but I ended up getting it after a little wiggling around and trying different things. Now the problem seems to be putting the keepers back in on the valve springs farthest to the back. Its a pretty tight fit.

dont drain the oil until after your done and have refired the car. after you run it for a short period I would then change it. lay a rag across the front of the pan to keep anything from falling in. make sure you plug up the 3 holes in each head to avoid dropping a keeper down there. the tranny dipstick makes it a pain to get the passenger valve cover off. good luck

I just undid the bolts and it came right off... But it did take some wiggling to get it off.
+1 on the rags in teh head to keep the keeprs from falling, but make sure you take the rags out before you put the cover back on. that would cause a large oil pressure failure.
