Mid Pipe Questions

Ok guys, I am about to pick up a mid pipe for my car. What is the major difference in an H pipe vs. an X pipe??? Also will getting a different brand change the sound of the exhaust if I am going off road pipe?

Not real sure about the brand, I believe an X-pipe will be a little more raspy than an h. Also I have heard that an h-pipe may give a few more lbs of torque.

i think x gives a few more hp, h few more tq? or something like that. x more raspy, h more throaty.

H pipes pretty much all sound the same. X pipes can vary how ever. Docter Gas i think its called and UPR sound sweet for X pipes. If you go X pipe Id get a UPR Pipe. Most other brands will sound the same. Magnaflows TRU X pipe i think sound different too. But they will all give you that Raspy sound. Some just have a little tweak to them, some of the x pipe designs are a little different but all do the same thing.

I think I may go with an offroad x and just be abnoxiously loud until I get a ticket then I will throw some LM 2 mufflers on or something

SLP Loudmouth I with an O/R X is going to be Incredibly raspy and LOUD. So if thats what you like then, you pretty much made up your mind on the midpipe you want.
