upgrade to '03 SVT?

Hi Guys

I've been thinking of upgrading to a 2003 cobra SVT. I currently have a 1999 GT and am really happy with it. My only motivation is the additional power of the SVT (supercharger) and stronger power train.
What do you recommend, upgrade my 1999 with all the goodies or simply swap for a 2003 SVT? the trade in would cost me about $5000-7000.

Thanks for the info... it seems like that was too obvious a question. Everyone is unanimous! There is something I don't know about the 03 SVT.

Could someone quickly list some of the advantages of the 2003 SVT vs. the 1999 GT

Better motor and better suspension are two tangible differences

And than there are the other things that are probably in the eye of the beholder like the seats (I've heard a lot of people that don't care for the Cobra seats) and overall outward appearance. I PERSONALLY think the 03-04 Cobras look better than the base GT's, but something like that fall completely on you since you're the one that will be shelling out the money and living with whatever car you go with.

Let me be a little more specific on why they are better motors and suspension.

The motors are basically 'built' from the factory and come equipped with Manley rods and forged steel crankshaft. There are guys making 900+ rwhp just by doing a TT swap, upgradding the fuel, and tune.

The GT is a hand grenade waiting to explode with anything over 450 to the rear wheels.

The Cobra has a multi-link IRS with a modified Macpherson strut system and Bilstein monotube dampers.

mods respond WAY better to the 4v than 2v, 6spd better than 5spd, built motor, stock s/c
