ok, am I missing something?

I got a short throw shifter, and i absolutely cannot get my stock shifter out for the life of me. I've got all the bolts out, the dust cover off, everything. It will not budge. I cannot get it out for nothing. Am I missing something here? Is there some trick to getting this damn thing off? I can't pry it off because I'm not sure if it's just stuck or if I'm missing something.

ok I got it off by tying a rope around it and me and my friend pulling the living fuck out of it... now the new one won't even go on....I swear this is the hardest fucking thing I've ever done...it's taken me four hours and I just got the new base back down. I can't get the arm on now...you know why? there wasn't any supplied fucking bolts...there's no threads on either side...how am I supposed to magically mate this together?

On the triax you put the base down, then the shifter goes in, then there is another piece that holds the shifter down that bolts to the base.

I just finished installing my TriAx the other day. It took a total of 30 minutes, and that included adjusting the stops. Not familiar with the Roush but it seemed straight forward to me.

i put the roush in my car and it came with two allen head bolts and 2 lock washers to attach the arm, 4 gold colored washers and 4 bolts to hold the base down, where did you order it from?

I ordered it from American Muscle, I didn't get those allen head bolts or anything. I ended up taking some bolts and nuts out of my 240 to make it work.
