Installing Springs, Chamber Plates, Shocks and Struts

Is there a write up for this? Also could I install the shocks and struts after the springs? Or would it require me to take the springs out again to install them?

Thanks

Installing springs aint all that hard really. Just get a buddy to help you out. When I did mine me and a friend just set the front high up on jack stands so the A arms could drop down as far as they could. Then I got a long screw driver and pried that old spring outta there. On the rear. I was lacking just a lil bit to get the springs out w/o a spring compressor. What I did there was took my jack to the oppisite side I was working on ... Jack one side of the axle up.... The other side drops down. That allowed me to get the lil bit of extra clearance to pry the rear spings out. It wasnt that big of a deal really. I seriously recomend anyone that knows how to work a ratchet to take this job on theirself.

ABout your shocks .... Yeah handle them while ya do the springs. They (struts and shocks) have to come out anyway when ya do the springs so ya may as well put the new ones on if ya already got em. Im still riding on stock stuff myself. I think my RR shock is busted to hell but im still riding ok. I will get it replaced one day LOL

So how do you like the Springs with your Stock Shocks/struts? I mean does the car still handle really nicely or is it pretty much just for looks for now till you get some good shocks/struts? I want to lower my car soon but i just can't afford new shocks and struts but i dont want to lower my car and regret not getting the shocks and struts. But i mean if the car still handles great with the new Springs and stock Shocks/struts then i'll be good to go i think. But how does your set up ride?

My car handles MUCH better over stock set up since the springs. Yeah it rides a bit more harsh than it did before but I dont regret it one bit. I have been told by lots of guys that my ride will improve big time by getting some good shocks to match my springs but I just havnt seen the NEED to spend the extra cash when for the most part my car still rides good. I love being able to carve corners better now. I take those "cork screw" type freeway exits at 60 mph when theres no traffic just for fun.

Now keep in mind too. I have a mild drop on mine with the Eibach Pro Kit. Im sure if I went lower than the ride would be much worse. When I did my springs I researched and found out that with the pro kit, the need for CC plates was hit and miss. SO I ordered my springs and said I will take my chances. I installed springs and went to get it alligned and that was a no go. Went back to the house... oredered the MM CC plates. Between shipping and me having time to put em on was about a month. I just drove my car like normal during that month too. Got the plates put on and had the front ened lined out, now Im getting better tire ware than I have ever had on any vehichle I have ever had.

So in closing..... You CAN skip the shocks/struts for right now and just buy the springs. Depending on how low you want to go.... You MAY not need CC plates. IMO you wont regret the Eibach Pro Kit. Subtle drop, killer stance, and great handleing too!

The shocks are not really all the expensive especially for the tociko blue ones. Just do them while your there especially if your car has a few miles on it.

Thanks for your opinion.Yeah i take our Cork Screw exit ramps at 80Mph LOL with the stock springs. I can only image how well it would handle with some stiffer springs. Right now im deciding between the H&R Super Sports or the Pro Kit like you have. I think no matter what one i decide, i cant go wrong.

Go to maximum motorsport and look up their install instructions for CC plates. It will explain everything you need to know. And yes, do them at the same time.
