wiring issue?

so i just replaced my display panel, looks great! but there's a problem.

i spliced the wire for power to the panel into the headlight switch (big gray wire in the middle of the headlight module). everything works fine: the display panel has power, the headlights etc.

the problems is...my brights don't work?! when i have my headlights and fog lights running it's ok, then when i flick the switch for m brights the headlights stay the same but my fog lights turn off. anybody know what's wrong? i don't think i spliced into the wrong wire...did i?!

any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
